Online Journalism

What is Online Journalism? Based on Dictionary.com, Online means connected by computer or network and Journalism means an occupation of reporting, writing, editing, photographing, or broadcasting news or conducting any news organization as a business.

Journalism is a non-fiction or documentary narrative that reports or analyzes facts and events firmly rooted in time which are selected and arranged by reporters, writers, and editors to tell a story from a particular point of view. Before this, Journalism has traditionally been published in print, film, and broadcast on television and radio.

But in my perspective, Online Journalism is a medium that is being use by anyone who wants to share their opinions, news, knowledge and other informations by using Internet connection. Basically, blog is one of the famous Online Journalism tools. As you can see, people start to create their blog because it is an easy way for them to express their feeling and at the same time it can help to release their tension.

But, everything must have pros and cons and so do Online Journalism. The pros that people can get from Online Journalism are that they can share any type of information with other and they can stay connected with each other. This also can help to improve their writing. But the cons are the information that has been written may contain slanders because readers did not know the truth about the information and everyone can publish anything and make it look substantial.
